Meet the Team

Amanda Potter - Founder and CEO
Amanda Potter is a mum of two neurodivergent girls and a second year Bachelor of Nursing Science student. Outside of the charity, Amanda homeschools her eldest daughter, is a wife of 8 years and a bird mum to two Green Cheeked Conures. Amanda is passionate about raising awareness about schizophrenia and psychotic mental health disorders in mothers and breaking the stigma around them. As a woman living with schizoaffective disorder herself, she is an avid believer that recovery is possible and with the help of medication and a good support system, schizophrenic mothers can function and live a 'normal' life. Amanda also lives with ADHD and ASD (level 2) and is also passionate about navigating motherhood as a neurodivergent woman. Amanda hopes to one day do postgraduate studies in midwifery to help autistic mothers navigate pregnancy.

Chris Raines - Clinical Advisor
Chris is a registered nurse and endorsed midwife with 30 years of experience. Chris has extensive experience supporting mothers with mental, physical and social challenges throughout the perinatal period and as a Child and Family Health Nurse, Chris’ scope of practice is expended further and includes maternal and child health and maternal psychosocial assessment and screening for perinatal mental health issues.
